This is a picture of what Hull House looks like now.
Hull House
Hull House is a result of many years of hard work. Hull House was founded by Jane Addams and her friend Ellen Gates Starr in the 1889. In the First year that it opened more than 50,000 people came. These people came from every where and had different backgrounds. Hull House taught them to embrace their cultures. For example, one night they would be shown how to make Polish Food by one of their fellow neighbors and then the next night they could be shown how to make a traditional dish from Italy. Hull House never said no to anyone because Jane Addams believed that every one should be treated equally and no one deserves to be treated badly because of the color of their skin or their economical background. Hull House had many different things to do. They kept adding more and more buildings that people could access through Hull House to try and make sure every one's interests were included.
